As I entered, I was unexpectedly moved by the sight of the crowd and the tiny, star-like lights illuminating the space. In that moment, it struck me how, as humans, we are like small spheres of light in an infinite universe. It made me question the significance of hate, the pursuit of power, and the meaning of it all when we are, in essence, just a small part of a much larger whole.

This experience was brought to life by Luxmuralis, an award-winning artistic collaboration that reinterprets spaces through mesmerizing installations. Their work, known as Son-et-Lumiere, transforms places like Canterbury Cathedral, guiding audiences on emotional and physical journeys through innovative uses of sound and light. As I stood amidst their creation, the cathedral became more than just a historical site—it was a canvas where major themes and human connections were illuminated, prompting reflections on our place in the universe.

This work, which is experimental and contemporary in its development, has allowed the artists to develop new forms of light and sound art installations.
Visual artwork is created by Artist and Sculptor Peter Walker FRSA MRBS ARBSA. His work adorns towns and cities both nationally and internationally consisting of large-scale sculpture, installation artwork, commissioned and bespoke sculptural works as well as paintings, drawings, film, and sound and light installations.
